Hello everyone,
It’s been a while and I have missed you.
It got really crazy a couple of weeks ago, and the world at large is really trying to get their lives together. Our lives have been thrown, and it seems like everything has adjusted to accommodate the crisis that has afflicted the world so drastically. As an Africanist, I certainly wonder how this will affect the continent and what our future looks like post – Corona.
As I am sure you are all aware, the ALAMAU Conference was canceled and consequently, my countdown ended abruptly. Alas, it is already the time to handover. I only wish it was under less extenuating circumstances.
It has been a joy to learn and grow with you over the past year, and I enjoyed writing on this blog for many reasons as it challenged my knowledge of the continent and forced me to bring my own voice into the mix.
The comments that you left were heartwarming and I hope you extend the same kindness to the next group of bloggers.
I wish you all well during this period and hope that you will persevere and have hope no matter what this crisis throws at you. It will affect us differently, and our lives will certainly never be the same after it, but rest easy. All will be well.
Until the next time, I hope your skin is glowing, your hair flourishing, your finances growing and your bed/couch smelling good. This is our time. We will not go down without a fight.
Bye,
Bolaji.
