ALAMAU prides itself on the diversity of nationalities and cultures that will be represented at the conference, with delegates typically representing more than 20 nationalities at each conference. To celebrate the uniqueness and beauty of African culture from all regions of the continent, delegates will be experience a fusion of music, food, fashion, dance, drama and poetry at our Africa-themed cultural night.
The Cultural Night is one of the major highlights of the conference, creating a showcase of the diversity of our delegates, advisors and staff as well as that of the host institution, African Leadership Academy (ALA). Participating institutions will have the opportunity to present elements of their culture through dance, drama or poetry before the showcase presentation by the ALA community with the aim of representing the linguistic, ethnic, religious and cultural diversity which is present throughout the Academy as well as Africa.
Activities at Cultural Night include performances from a live band, food sampling from different regions of Africa, hilarious drama skits, traditional dances and fashion shows. Delegates are encouraged to dress in their traditional/national attire and be prepared to share and participate in the experience of a lifetime.
